〇Vice MedicalDirector: Yasushi Saito

I was inspired to become a doctor from an early age, having watched my father, who was also a physician, dedicate his life to helping others. This ignited a strong desire in me to assist those struggling with illnesses. My interest in medical procedures, particularly endoscopy, led me to specialize in gastroenterology. As a former hospital physician turned private practitioner, I am grateful to continue performing endoscopic examinations and providing specialized care. Every day, I strive to reduce the number of people suffering from gastrointestinal conditions and improve their quality of life.

〇Michiko Saito

My early exposure to the medical field, through my father's profession, shaped my childhood. However, it was his own struggle with a serious illness that deeply impacted my university career choice, leading me to medicine. My fascination with treating lifestyle-related diseases, especially diabetes and its systemic effects on the vascular system, led me to specialize in endocrinology and metabolism. My aim is to support as many patients as possible navigating these conditions, and I am committed to making a positive impact on their well-being.

Hypertension / Hypertension Treatment App Clinic

・The Hypertension / Hypertension Treatment App Clinic offers specialized outpatient care focused on the thorough examination and effective treatment of hypertension, ensuring this significant health concern is not neglected. Below is an overview of the types of hypertension we treat at our clinic.

At Saito Clinic, we offer the CureApp Blood Pressure Challenge Program. This allows you to monitor your blood pressure and receive lifestyle guidance directly on your smartphone via a dedicated app, with our staff assisting in setup.

The app provides follow-up support between consultations, helps identify white coat hypertension, and enables doctor evaluations and guidance based on your home readings during follow-up visits.

With six months of treatment, significant hypertension improvement is expected, potentially leading to better blood pressure control and reduced or discontinued medication. The program is insurance-covered for six months, after which a free blood pressure management app is available.

If you have blood pressure concerns, please contact us for more details.

・Hypertension: Is Your High Blood Pressure "Just High Blood Pressure"?

Are you taking medication for hypertension but not seeing significant improvement? Have you been diligently following your doctor’s advice to eat healthily and exercise, yet feel no tangible progress in your blood pressure levels? You might be dealing with a condition called primary aldosteronism. This disorder, which affects about 5–10% of Japanese patients with high blood pressure, causes elevated blood pressure. Unfortunately, primary aldosteronism often goes unnoticed because common blood pressure medications can lower blood pressure, masking its underlying symptoms and making detection difficult. However, these medications alone cannot cure the condition. Identifying the disease through specialized tests and receiving targeted treatment is essential for effective management. Left untreated, high blood pressure can lead to severe complications such as strokes or heart attacks. Early detection and treatment are crucial to preventing long-term health risks. At our clinic, we have specialists dedicated to diagnosing and treating high blood pressure, including conditions like primary aldosteronism. If you're concerned about your blood pressure, let us help you uncover the root cause and guide you toward optimal health.
